BRITAIN'S best ambassadors of trade are her lorry drivers, said Mr. John H. Bustard. director and general manager of the Atlantic Steam Navigation Co., addressing 200 businessmen and shipping representatives at Bristol last week.

He was referring to drivers who deliver export goods direct to their Continental destinations, using the drive-on Transport Ferry Service.

The Atlantic Steam Navigation Co., will have four new ferries operating the routes by the end of the year. Fif thousand lorries a year cross the Co tinent, and 12,000 to Northern Ireland.

"Many of these lorry drivers speak t language but their own and have nev been outside Britain, yet they deliver the loads on time to Milan or Madrid-----az even Moscow—without fuss or hesitatio and they are resourceful, resiliet enthusiastic," said Mr. Bustard.
