COR using a goods vehicle taxed at 1 £35 when, in fact, it had been modified and had been increased by 8 cwt. in unladen weight since registration, the Road Haulage Executive was fined £20, plus £1 costs, at Kidderminster, last week. The tax paid should have been £38 15s.
The driver was .summoned, but the case against him was dismissed, as the bench accepted that he had no control over the matter.
