ATHIRD international Customs convention, concerning uniform formalities covcring goods carried by road, will come into effect -on July I. This provides for a uniform document, carnet T.1.R., for Customs use. The principles of' the convention were agreed upon last year, but because of technical difficulties, its coming into force had to be postponed.

The convention has been signed by Austria, Belgiu m, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, France, Holland, Italy, Norway and Switzerland. Sweden and Western Germany are expected to follow soon.
