TRADERS have responded well to 1 the formation of Road Hauliers (East Midlands), Ltd., 3, Arkwright Street, Nottingham.. This . company comprises 300 hauliers working together, pooling resources and carrying traffic within permit conditions to conserve as much long-distance traffic aspossible

It has been built up in the past six months and has :blanches at Derby, Leicester, Mansfield, Boston and Scunthorpe. The chairman is Mr. H. Stone, a' Derby haulier, and the directors are: Mr. L A. Jordan, Nottingham; Mr. VV. -T. Kerrip, Mansfield; Mr. G. Perkins, Scunthorpe; Mr. J. Smith, Boston and Mr. J. W. Ward, Leicester. Mr, Stone, Mr. Ward and Mr. Kemp are members of the council of the Road Haulage Association. The group advertises widely in local newspapers.
