RECAUSE the French Railways can now run extra trains whenever necessary, the French Ministry of Transport has unexpectedly forbidden all long-distance coach journeys, both within France and to other countries. Low group-travel rail fares will be offered, writes a correspondent. Coaches run by foreign concerns are unaffected. Many people in Northern France are booking trips to Rome on Belgian coaches. Operators'. associations are protesting against the new ban.
