• The Transport Development Group boosted its full-year pre-tax profits by £700,000 to £38.9m following restructuring in the UK and Australia.
Storage division profits rose from £7m to £9.2m, despite the closure of Scottish fish haulier Charles Alexander.
Transport
was hit following tanker operator Linkman's acquisition of LP&G during poor trading conditions — profits fell to £4.7m from £6.4m. The hire division's profits slipped £1.5m to £5,1m.
TDG chairman Sir James Duncan called for a decisive election result, "with a clear Government — of the right or left — so that we can move forward"
