Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• I recently had a telephone call from Lv Shipping's Middlesbrough office — I had not heard of this company before. The job was to collect from Newport in Gwent on a Thursday and to deliver to Middlesbrough for 8:00hrs on the following Friday morning. Terms were agreed and the work carried out.

I found the staff at Lv's Middlesbrough office extremely helpful and courteous. I presented them with my invoice and told them that if they paid on delivery I would give them a discount; a discount was agreed but I was informed cheques could only be raised from the Felixstowe depot. A cheque duly arrived on the Saturday morning.

I have been following the articles written about freight forwarders in your magazine and carried out the above work with some trepidation.

I agree entirely with the content of the articles written in your magazine but feel that praise should be given where it is due.
