Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

other vehicles, and thus only needs two wide steps to climb aboard.

The high engine cowl makes cross-cab movement especially difficult from the driver's side, with the document box/writing top adding to the problem.

Fortunately a wide gap between the seats, over the engine hump, makes the path towards the long bunk relatively unobstructed from the passenger side. Curtains all round provide some insulation and privacy, but standing space in front of the passenger seat is rather cramped despite a respectable ceiling height. Overhead lockers protrude into the headroom so that the full height is only available when facing the rear of the cab. In practice, the high mounting of the bunk makes it much easier to sit on the centre of the bunk to undress.

The mattress is the longest and thickest of the six in the group but we were forewarned that this would not prevent the occupant from falling out.

In other respects it was comfortable enough with reading lamps at each end and a heater control not too far out of reach, but to get the radio to work the driver has to stretch out to reach the ignition key. The FL10 doesn't fare so well in terms of storage space, with a modest area under one end of the bunk, and an exterior locker at the other end. There are a couple of overhead lockers, but larger bags have to find space elsewhere in the cab.

The noisy cab heater, sited behind the passenger seat, took a long time to heat the small interior, but with the rear window insulator in place, it remained marginally warmer than the other cabs.

Unfortunately the Volvo tacho clock was no quieter than the clock in the F16 Globetrotter we slept in last year.
