• The new owner of Tiger Rail will be revealed in the next few days by the receiver.
Several companies have shown an interest in buying the rail freight supplier, according to receiver KING Peat Marwick. Tiger Rail went in to receivership a month ago when its parent group, Allied Partners Group, collapsed.
Tiger Rail is up for sale complete with its rail wagon fleet and its TrailerTrain design. TrailerTrain is a strengthened semi-trailer chassis which converts into a rail wagon by clipping on to the rail bogies and retracting the air-suspended road bogie.
