THE LONDON Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth are supporting the Amos proposals to run services in their areas.
Richmond transport engineer Kenneth Marshall told the inquiry last Friday that the service would fill gaps in the existing bus network in the borough, and that Amos's proposals fitted in with a transport policy of seeking improvements in the quality and quantity of public transport.
London Transport counsel Michael Parroy argued that Amos was running into an area of very high car ownership and that there were environmental objections to minibuses turning in residential streets at two-minute intervals.
Redbridge and Waltham Forest Boroughs say there are "insurmountable" problems behind their objections to Amos.
