Mr Norman has worked for HM Customs and Excise, and major warehousing companies specialising in haulage and contract distribution for various national companies.

He spent a period with Rowntree Mackintosh and W. M. Vaughan (Bridgend), where he was transport manager. Lewis, currently assistant secretary/accountant to Potteries will become accountant to the two companies.

Mr Armstrong's retirment at the end of March will conclude 34 years' service to the bus industry. He began his career as assistant to the accountant of Northern General in Gateshead, becoming secretary/accountant of City of Oxford in 1961.

In 1968 he moved to his present position at Potteries. He took on the additional responsibility for Midland Red North on that company's formation in 1981.

Mr Moors became general manager of Potteries in 1982, having previously been company secretary with Chesterbased Crosville Motor Services. He joined Crosville as assistant secretary in 1971. Mr Lewis joined Potteries in 1981 after holding posts with ICL as a management accountant, and the Midlands Electricity Board where he trained as an internal audit assistant.

Eastern National Omnibus Company has made assistant

traffic manager Arthur Townsend its traffic manager. He takes over from Stephen Trennery, who is now traffic manager for the East Kent and Maidstone and District companies.
