TO COMBAT illegal overn parking of heavy lorries in t dential areas, Merseys County Council is to appoii special officer to investiE complaints and to vet appl tions for heavy goods veil operators' licences.
The personal committee I told that heavy vehicles par near people's homes cause nuisance with noise, fumes, spills and could be a sa hazard. It was decided to appi an officer to vet applications licences and investigate pu complaints at a cost of £7,0C year.
