Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HESTAIR DENNIS and Hestair Eagle made a £2.4m profit before interest for the year ended January 1982. This is a 12.5 per cent increase on last year.

Turnover rose by almost 17 per cent to €36m for the Hestair subsidiaries, but profit per E1 of turnover has fallen.

Because of persistently poor demand Hestair has not been able to increase prices during the year. Only increased volume has produced satisfactory figures.

It has held on to its near 50 per cent share of the UK refuse vehicle market, and improved the market penetration on UK fire appliances to more than 50 per cent.

Exports have more than doubled in cash terms over the last two years, because of a good market in Hong Kong and increased deliveries to the Middle East.
