Mudguards for small trailers are now being vacuum formed from black high-density polythene sheet by Halipas Ltd High-density polythene is said to give the right combination of rigidity and resilience needed for mudguards. They are more durable than galvanized steel types they replace and are cheaper. There is the extra advantage of superior surface finish and being self-coloured throughout.
