He granted Orwell Roadways (Ipswich) Ltd its application for 14 vehicles and eight trailers with a margin of two vehicles and two trailers, and J. Woods Transport Ltd, an associated company. its application for 13 vehicles and four trailers with a margin of two trailers.

Granting the licence and referring to 0 licensing in general Mr Kidner said the "emphasis is on maintenance". He warned the company not to become complacent now the licence had been granted.
