TWO large contract switches and a big A-licence application are among the haulage bids listed this week. In the Scottish Southern area Road Services (Caledonian) Ltd. are asking for a new A licence for 10 articulated outfits, to carry mainly for Airscrew Weyroc Co. In the West Midland area E. H. Crhlage and Son Ltd., of Coventry, is seeking a B licence for 22 artics to carry for B.M.C. and associated companies; if this is granted, a Contract A licence will be surrendered.
The East Midland book also lists a sizeable contract switch application, this being by W. J. Skipper, of Milton, for eight vehicles on B licence.
