Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

QDo you think you could be of some assistance to me in clarifying a point concerning AETR drivers' hours?

When on a journey that begins, finishes or just passes through an AETR member country, AETR hours should be followed through the complete journey.

The regulation, as I understand it, is that if the vehicle, trailer or the load (in the guise of a container) is collected from an English port, that begun its journey in an AETR Country, then AETR drivers' hours should be followed.

Could you please say if it is correct that, if you merely collect a container that begun its journey in Au stria from Dover, and transport it to a destination in this country, then AETR drivers' hours should be obeyed.

BG, Grays.

AThe European Agreement concerning the work of crews of vehicles engaged in international road transport (known as the AETR agreement) relates to road transport operations to, from or through non-EC countries which are parties to the AETR agreement, and Austria is one of those countries.

The AETR agreement and rules apply for the whole of the journey.
