• Applied Distribution has won its first contract in food manufacturing with European giant Nestle.
The four-year deal is the first outside its traditional third-party contract distribution business.
It covers distribution of Nestle's full range of ambient grocery products in Scotland.
The contract will be handled at AD L's Renfrew warehouse until April 1991, when it will be transferred to an extension of nearly 47,500m2 of warehousing at its site in Glasgow.
