• Autolatina, the Ford and Volkswagen joint venture in Brazil and Argentina, is close to completing an investment of 837m (Ulm) at its Sao Paulo production plant.
The money has been spent on a second storey at the production plant, enabling it to produce both Ford and Volkswagen CVs for South American markets.
Up to 100,000 vehicles a year can now be produCed at the Sao Paulo plant, including Ford Cargos and Volkswagen's aerodynamic 32-tonne tractor.
