• Williams Bros (Wales) has been named Haulier of the Year in the 1990 awards organised by CM's stablemate Motor Transport.
George A Moore & Co of Wetherby won the Own Account Operator of the Year award, and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council is MT's Local Authority Operator of the Year.
TNT scooped both the Environmental and Training awards; the Safety in Operation title went to Glass Glover Distribution.
North East Leyland Daf won Dealer of the Year, and the Leyland Daf 95 Series was voted Fleet Truck of the Year. The Fleet Van of the Year trophy went to Ford's Transit 100.
Air Products transport maintenance manager Cohn Macgregor is Fleet Engineer of the Year, and Hotpoint's Cliff Grange was judged Distribution Director of the Year.
The Motor Transport Special Award went to Wincanton managing director David Yeomans in recognition of his campaigning for the industry.
