• 1)oyer Harbour Board reports a 10.9% increase in lorry traffic through the port in the first five months of this year, compared with the same period a year earlier.
Overall, 349,961 road haulage units used Dover, compared with 315,455 in the first five months of 1985.
The Board says the rise in lorry traffic follows an increase in the number of cross-Channel sailings operating through Dover (up 269 on the same period of 1985).
