Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

PREDICTABLY, the -Buy Britishargument has been raging since it became apparent that recession was upon us.

The reasons for the decline in British industry are both internal and external in character, which gives the less productive of us a tailor-made excuse for failing.

If we operate at low productivity levels, with dated machinery, less than 100 per cent commitment . . . then we will not be competitive.

The shortcomings in our performance in a world market situation cannot be met by what Mr P. R, Felthouse would lead us to believe as "patriotism".

Those of us who preach "Buy Britishdo not advocate positive, aggressive commercial action but merely proclaim a statement of defeat. What we need is an all-out effort for efficiency, so that at the end of the day we will BUY BRITISH because it is at a reasonable cost, high in quality with a good after-sales service, In short — the best.
