REPORTS that financial problems will compel Greater Manchester Transport to sell off its commercial assets have been denied.
Director-general David Graham said that despite the PTE's unprecedented financial problems -It would be like killing the goose that lays the golden eggs'. GMT is facing a £13 million deficit by the end of next March.
The PTE's commercial assets include the Charterplan, Godfrey Abbot and Lancashire United coach businesses as well as a 14 per cent holding in Horizon Holidays.
