ALEXANDER'S first T-type body — which will make its appearance at Earles Court in September — is to go to the Tyne and Wear PTE. The body, mounted on a Leyland Leopard chassis, will be shown in PTE colours. It is one of 15 Leopards entering the Armstrong and Galleys coach fleet, now part of the PTE.
A spokesman for the PTE
told CM this week that it wt intended that the vehicles the remaining 14 will haN Duple Dominant bodies would be downgraded • scheduled Fastline servict after a year doing private hi with the Galley fleet. Eleve of the vehicles will be to a IN grant standard while remaining four will have a ft luxury specification.
