The vehicle was at appraised in CM May '. The bus was driven lund a 300km (186 mile) st route over varied types road on two successive lys, once using overdrive and once not. The overdrive produced by Lavcock Engineering Ltd operates on third and top gears.
Without overdrive the vehicle returned a consumption of 9.1km/1 (25.87mpg) at an average speed of 61.3 km/ h (38.15 mph). With the overdrive in use the figures were 10.8 km/1 (30.52 mpg) at 62.8 k ml h (39.04). On both runs the vehicle was carrying a driver and two observers.
