• An application by the Midland GenerE Group of bus companies to increase fare by between id and 3d from July 14 wa granted on Thursday of last week at I Nottingham traffic court.
Among those objecting to the applicatiol were Mansfield Borough Council, Kirkby in-Ashfield Urban Council, and Mansfieli Tenants and Residents Association.
Mrs. Ida Hackett, for the tenants, sail they were in "a very militant mood." It wa possible they would take action on the issu by boycotting the buses.
The decision to grant the increase wal taken jointly by the East Midland TrafTh Commissioners sitting with the Yorkshin Commissioners.
