A ONE-DAY course on lorry controls is being held in March by the Polytechnic of Central London.
Two of the speakers are leading players in the current row between the Greater London Council and the transport industry over the GLC's plans for a night and weekend ban on lorries over 16.5 tonnes. GLC freight unit head Keith Buchan will speak on London's experience while Freight Transport Association planning officer Don McIntyre will give the industry's view.
Other speakers will come from local government, the police and the academic world.
Details ofthe course — the fee is £30 — are available from the PCL's short course unit at 35 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5LS.
