TWENTY of York Trailers Company's Thermovan refrigerated units have gone into service with McCain Foods (GB), 15 to be based in Scarborough and five in Grimsby.

All are built to York's standard Thermovan design with 75mm (3in) walls and a 12.2m (40ft) interior length. This enables 21 metric pallets to be accommodated.

Petter PLD-50-RE refrigerator units are fitted. Twin king-pins, set at 914 and 1,420mm (36 and 56in) positions, match the Seddon Atkinson 4x2 and Foden 6x4 drawing units.
