Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE ESSO tanker drivers' wage dispute lurched into another phase this week when 250 men at the West London terminal went on strike on Tuesday.

In common with other depots, the West London terminal had been operating an overtime ban and work-to-rule in protest against Esso's wage offer.

No more discussions have been arranged between union and management, but shop stewards were due to meet on Wednesday to discuss the dispute.

And in the general haulage sector, National Freight Corporation officials had still to hear the result of ballots on its 20 per cent wage offer (see CM last week).
