Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

R. D. FIELDER Marine Ltd of 62 Aidgate High Street, London, is importing the American Nycal Turbo-Lube unit which provides turbochargers with lubrication during engine shut-down and cold start.

The Turbo-Lube's reservoir is supplied with oil by the engine which maintains normal oil pressure in the reservoir while it is running.

A check valve in the line to the turbocharger closes when the engine is switched off, and oil from the reservoir is directed under pressure to the still-rotating bearings of the turbocharger. This lubrication continues for about five minutes after the engine stops.

When the check valve closes it retains oil in the feed line and this lubricates the turbo immediately when starting from cold.

The reservoir has a capacity of one litre and the ball check valve can carry 11 gallons of oil per minute to the turbocharger, so that normal flow is not restricted.

Retail price of the complete Turbo-Lube kit is £29 plus vat.
