Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

BUS OPERATORS throughout the country have reported a slump in the resale value of obsolete double-deck buses, still in running order, since large numbers of ex-London Transport Daimler Fleetlines have come on to the market.

With the Fleetlines only seven years old, operators disposing of 12 to 15 year old frontand rear-engined buses have reported that the bottom has fallen out of the second-hand market.

One Midlands operator told of a 14-year-old PD3 Leyland that last year fetched £2000, but this year brought in only £600. Other operators spoke of a general falling off in interest which they felt could be due to the LT Fleetlines' availability.

With LT's bus disposal plans involving the premature disposal of double-deckers in quantity for the next five years, the future for other second-hand deckers seems bleak.
