AN ESSEX transport company has extended its services by establishing links with a West German operating partner.
Chelmer Cargo Services (Shipping) of Chelmsford in Essex has a new agreement with Weichelt Spedition, a transport and distribution company with 24 depots throughout West Germany and 600 units and trailers.
Cargo for groupage or full loads deposited at any one of Chelmer Cargo's receiving depots at Maldon, Felixstowe, Birmingham, Bradford or Manchester can be distributed at the other end in Germany by VVeichelt Spedition.
Average transit time for groupage goods from any location in the UK to anywhere in Germany is four days.
