WE HAVE just put Volvo's FI2 through its paces over our revised Scottish route.
Afthough it is obviously designed for long-haul. Middle East-type work the vehicle adapted itself well during our lest. We recorded an overall consumption of 41.2rd/100km (6,85mpg)for the trip — not bad considering the Volvo has a massive 243kW (3261fhp) of power at its disposal.
Journey times were fast — we completed the third day in just seven hours eight minutes. A full report of the test will appear in CM on February 2.
