A PROBLEM inherent in the waste disposal industry is the c, of replacing stolen containers.
This problem has been accentuated by the difficulty positively identifying stolen containers which have been reo ered, since conventional methods of marking such as weldin, company's name or bin reference number are not altoget1 satisfactory, as they an be easily removed.
Biffa Waste Service of London Road, High Wycombe, Buc have developed an identification method which is claimed overcome this problem. With this system, each Biffa contaii will be "branded" with invisible markings detectable only electronic equipment.
