Bobby Lawrence has taken over as chairman of the National Freight Corporation following the retirement of Sir Dan Pettit.

Volvo is also re-organising its truck, bus and BM earthmoving activities into separate legal entities incorporated under Volvo Commercial Vehicles Corporation.

Following internal reorganisation, Scania (Great Britain) has appointed three new regional sales managers.

Norman Stephenson is responsible for the South-East, South and South-West.

Derrick Taylor is regional sales manager for the Midlands, and Hugh McKee is responsible for Northern Ireland, Scotland and the North of England.

All three men have previous experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
