THE FREIGHT Transport Association has said that the .EEC common transport policy is having an "increasing influence on what ought to be purely domestic affairs".
At a joint meeting of the FTA and the Chartered Institute of Transport last week, Hugh Featherstone, directorgeneral of the FTA, said that Britain should clearly favour a common transport policy, but not one based on harmonisation of domestic transport regimes.
