• Pitt Trailers Ltd, the Wigan, Lancs, based subsidiary of the Central Wagon Group, is to cease production at the end of this month. The trailer company is reported to have incurred a loss of £84,000 in 1971.
Commercial Motor understands that spares and service will still be available from the Central Wagon holding company.
Central Trailers, the hire trailer operation, will continue unaffected by this move.
