Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

GERMAN automobile production doubled in 1950 and exceeded 300,000 units, about 30 per cent. of which were commercial vehicles, reports "The Financial Times." If present trends continue, output will rise by 60 per cent, this year. About a third of the total production is exported.

The demand for light vehicles in Germany is increasing, but the calls for medium and heavy types are declining as worn-out machines become replaced.
