UNITED GLASS has hived off its road transport interests to form United Distribution Services, a wholly-owned specialist transport company.
UDS, with headquarters at Staines, in Middlesex, has a common management team for the former United Glass distribution division and for Robson's Border Transport, the Carlisle haulage contractor acquired by UG some two years ago.
The new organisation is run by managing director Herbert Nettleship, and Robson's managing director, George Flenley, is commercial director, based at Carlisle.
