the Minister of Transport to the closure of all passenger services on the direct line between Manchester Victoria and Bury Bolton Street stations, via. Prestwich. Consent. has • been given to . the .closure, subject to the provision of certain additional bus services to eater for commuting travel, of the local passenger services which now link Bradford with Huddersfield, via Mirficld and vizi Halifax. The stations involved are Low Moor, Cleckheaton. Liversedge, Heckmondwike, Northorpe and Lightcliffe, Consent has also been given to closure of the services between Dunstable North and Welwyn Garden City, involving the discontinuance of the Dunstable North-Hatfield service. on condition that certain extra bus services are provided at times of travel to work.
