As Duke of York, he was patron from "1926 until, his accession to the Throne, whilst from 1923-26 he was President of the London " Safety First" Council. In this capacity he will direct giant pneumatic-tyre sales to manufacturers, commercial users and dealers. Ma. K. R. PAULEY has been appointed sales engineer in the same department of the company, MR. WILLIAM YOUNG, Of Messrs. Young Windows, Wishaw, Scotland, has sufficiently recuperated from his recent serious illness to undertake a sea voyage to complete his recovery. Ile will be away until the beginning of March, MR. ALEX. C. YOUNG has joined the firm as sales manager. He has recently returned from the United States and Canada, where he has been for a number of years.

MR. P. M. RossoaLs has resigned his position as chairman of the Yorkshire Traction Co., Ltd. MR. J. S. WILLS has been elected chairman. Mr. Rossdale has also resigned his position as chairman of the Yorkshire Woollen District Transport Co.. Ltd., MR. W. S. WREATHALL having been elected chairman, with Mr. Wills as deputy chairman, the last-named becoming chairman of Hebble Motor Services, Ltd., •in succession to Mr. Rossdale, who, however, 'retains his seat on the board Of each company.
