THE ROAD transport and warehousing arm of the East Yorkshire-based Global Shipping Services group has entered administration.
Leonard Curtis was appointed to Global Shipping Services Logistics on 22 November.
A company spokesman said the remaining firms continue to trade. These include vehicle and cargo handling arms, a freight forwarding division, and a real estate business.
According to Vosa, the logistics business had four operating centres in Grimsby, Goole and Hull, and was authorised to operate 100 vehicles and 170 trailers.
In the last set of accounts for Global Shipping Services Logistics, for the year ended 31 December 2012, the firm posted a turnover of £9.92m, but a pre-tax loss of £1.58m.
Leonard Curtis did not respond as CM went to press.
