A Shepperton haulage firm has had an injunction served against it by Surrey County Council after a four-month investigation found it was disposing of waste illegally. The injunction stopping C&M Haulage operating from Westfields House, Wrecclesham Hill, nr Farnham was served after it was found to be moving unauthorised waste to and from the site.
The firm was also keeping some of its four tippers on the site when there was no planning permission for this, said the council.
Last week company owners Mark Mallins and Colin Smith received a formal warning at an Eastbourne public inquiry after the firm was issued with three prohibitions in the past year.
At the enquiry Mallins admitted the firm had no operating centre but said it planned to apply for one at the Wrecclesham site.
The council's application to request the company removes all the unauthorised waste materials deposited on the site and to restore the land to forestry will now be heard in March 1997.
C&M also looks to have failed with an application to set up a new operating centre at Guildford Road, Ash after objections by Surrey County Council (see Legal, page 14).
