But leaving your car in a garage for servicing and then having no idea where it is must be a first.
A forgetful couple of sisters in their eighties did just that, however, and duly
reported their beloved A Metro stolen. Police enquiries proved fruitless so Doris and Beryl's insurance company paid up.
It was not until the sisters took the new Metro in for servicing at Tristar Motors in Croydon that they were reminded that the old one was waiting to be picked up.
