• Foden's debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month will feature a Hi-Line 4x2 tractive unit fitted with what it claims is the first Perkins engine to go into operation in Switzerland. The truck, which will be on Foden's Swiss distributor Friderici's stand, is a demonstrator equipped with the 280kW (375hp) Perkins 375Tx. Previously Friderici, which runs 30 Fodens of its own, specified them with Caterpillar engines.
Foden will also be showing an 8x4 rigid plated at 28 tonnes, the maximum gross weight in Switzerland. It is designed for mountainous roads with a 317kW (425hp) Cat engine with Voith retarder.
The Geneva Show takes place on 17-26 January.
