• Several Western European truck manufacturers will be at Russia's first major motor exhibition next year. Scania, Iveco, Leyland Daf, Renault and Volvo are among the line-up for the Moscow Show on 26-30 August.
Commercial vehicles will also feature at the Prague International Motor Vehicle and Accessories Sales and Contact Show on 23-27 September.
The break-up of the former communist bloc has opened welcome markets for Europe's truck manufacturers. Previously most east European truck operators were forced to nm with home-built marques; now several western manufacturers, including MAN and Mercedes, have set up joint ventures with truck builders in the east.
