• Nearly 1,000 Glasgow Corporation bus drivers qualified for safe driving awards, which were presented by Bailie James Anderson last week at Larkfield Garage. The awards were graded from diplomas for one year's safe driving to a brooch for 15 years and a bar for each of the next four years.
Mr. William Murray. transport manager, said the proportion of those eligible to qualify for awards has remained fairly constant at about 50 per cent.
