Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The RTITB and the MAA have issued a joint statement following the report in the Daily Telegraph that: "The transport industry is to ask Mrs. Castle, Minister of Employment and Productivity, to set up an immediate inquiry into the RTITB", The MAA deny the report that they intend to ask for such an inquiry, or that they are "compiling a dossier of allegations against the Board to present to her".

It is quite true, says the statement, that the MAA have expressed disquiet at some of the operations of the Board and the RT1TB is equally concerned about inadequacies in some of the industry's training arrangements. These matters are the subject of continuing dis

cussions between the two organizations and it is most unlikely that Mrs. Castle will become involved.

Some of the main facts and figures quoted in the Daily Telegraph report are inaccurate, too, says the joint statement.
