Petrofina Office : The new headquarters of Petrofina (Great Britain). Ltd., are at York Road, London, S.E.I, in a 13-storey £165,000 Depot: Stockton-on-Tees Borough Engineer is to prepare plans for a bus depot
in the town. The building will • cost £165,000.
Official Opening : ClIr. P. Cain, chairman of South Shields Transport Committee, last week officially opened a new £40,000 bus depot built by the corporation.
Silent Zone : Aid. G. B. Boughton, Lord Mayor of Birmingham. is to propose a day-and-night ban on the use, of horns in the city at the general purposes committee's next meeting.
Borgward Increase: Total deliveries of Borgward commercial vehicles during the lirst half of this year showed an increase of 52 per cent, over those in the corresponding period of 1959.
More Oilers in Sweden: New registrations of diesel-engined lorries, vans and buses have totalled 2,828 so far this year. This compares with a figure of 1,945 for the corresponding period last year.
Swedish Fleet For Iraq: An order for eight Scania-Vabis L55 tractors, with semi-trailers built by Broderna Forss, Mjailby, Sweden, placed by 1-1. Baladi of Baghdad, has been dispatched. The fleet will transport jute sacks in Iraq.

Companies Acquired : The concern of Parkinson Poison and their subsidiary, Kings Garage.s (Sussex), Ltd., Austin main dealers, have been acquired by Business Maintenance and Management, Lid. A car-hire business is to be developed through Parkinson Poison.
Credit Offices : The Mercantile Credit Co.. Ltd., have opened a new branch at 11 Westgate, Huddersfield. On August 15, the company will open an office at 69 Stricklandgate, Kendal. The address of their Liverpool office is now Castle Chambers, Castle Street, Liverpool.
Pakistan Additions: The Government of Pakistan has approved the addition of 19,000 vehicles under their latest road transport development programme. At present there are 25,000 vehicles in the country of which 9,000 are buses and 16,000 are trucks. Of these, 5,000 trucks and 3,300 buses will be retired during the next live years.
