SSUBJECT to the granting of the licences, Southdown Motor Services, Ltd., and Maidstone and District Motor Services, Ltd., propose jointly to acquire the business run under the name of Beacon Motor Services by Mr. L. B. Atkins, of Crowborough. A private company with the title of Beacon Motor Services (Crowborough), Ltd., has been formed, with a capital of £20,000, to adopt the conditional agreement.
Mr. Atkins, who has a small fleet, operates services around Crowboraugh and a daily express service to Victoria Coach Station, London. The Southdown and Maidstone`companies work closely together, and this latest development shows an interesting trend.
